Merck Animal Health Cattle Business Unit Interns will work with Veterinarians and beef producers to support specific Merck Animal Health product offerings to midsize and small operations, working in conjunction with our Veterinary Customers, Professional Sales Representative, Technical Services Specialist and Regional Sales Manager.  Individual will train on a specific product group and focus on providing introduction of those products to these customers.

Qualifications

Education Minimum Requirement:   

  • Must have completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Animal Science or related degree program by May 2018.
  • Should be available to work full time for 9-12 weeks in summer of 2018 and return back to school on completion of assignment in fall of 2018 
Required Experience and Skills

  •   Excellent interpersonal/communication and presentation skills 
  •  General computer skills including working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint and the ability to use an iPad
  • Ability to be organized, adapt to a changing environment, work independently and also as part of a team
  • Should meet the minimum age requirement to rent a vehicle in the state in which you reside/work in
Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Knowledge and the ability to work with cattle producers, Veterinary accounts and dealer stores.
  • Gain an understanding of their operation and communicate how Merck products may have a positive impact on their business.
