Position Title: AskHR Generalist



This position will have responsibilities on the Ask HR team, a centralized HR service model.  In addition, this role will support Marathon Oil’s contingent labor requirements.  The successful candidate will be a highly professional, accurate, self-motivated individual with strong organizational skills, a high level of personal output and excellent interpersonal skills. Comfort when speaking with other business professionals and sensitivity to confidentiality required.



General Ask HR Responsibilities:


  • Interact with both external and internal contacts in written, electronic or face-to-face format politely and professionally
  • Concisely answer HR inquiries in a timely manner, to include, but not limited to recruiting, onboarding, benefits, training assistance, employee relations and retirement
  • Partner with and support HR generalist to support the business clients
  • Maintain strict confidentiality with regard to business information the individual will be exposed to in the course of normal duties
  • Other duties will be assigned as appropriate


Contingent Labor Responsibilities:

  • Conduct monthly review of contractor database via reporting and follow up regarding any necessary updates such as length of contract oversight and contractor deactivation verification
  • Maintain policies and guidelines and ensure the internal resource page is updated with accurate guidelines and documentation for end users
  • Provide training to the HR Business Partners and/or the business as needed
  • Support internal or regulatory audits as needed


Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or 5 years of relevant HR experience

Advanced Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and MS Word experience

Organizational skills

Effective communication and relationship building

Must be able to multi-task



Experience with contingent labor and relevant compliance requirements

SAP modules
