The Data Solutions Architect leads the efforts to expand the company's use of data to enable and achieve the organization's goals and objectives. Provides strategic view and leads the design, development, and implementation of information, data, and analytics architectures roadmaps, and best practices that produce business outcomes. Strong focus on defining the data solutions, data management, and analytics environment that will enable more efficient and effective decision making.

Develops and communicates technical roadmaps and product standards and, develops and maintains enterprise technical roadmaps.

The Data Solutions Architect will provide leadership and technical expertise while providing solutions in the areas of data management, EDW, Data Lakes, system integration, application design, interoperability, and compatibility across multiple platforms. Operating as a single contributor or as part of a team (on large complex projects with multiple Architects), interprets and translates client requirements into a solution which aligns with the overarching Enterprise Architecture. The Data Solutions Architect is responsible for working with end users, business liaisons, vendor partners, and other key members of the BI team to deliver Data Solutions, Data Quality, Big Data, Data Architecture, Data Modeling and QA solutions that help Dunkin' Brands stakeholders grow our business.

What You'll Be Working On-

  • Maintain, support, and enhance the business intelligence data backend, including data warehouses
  • Expertise in Data Architecture and Modeling
  • Designs and builds relational databases
  • Map configurations and complex data architectures, ensuring documentation meets current and forecasted needs
  • Collaborate and work with end users to ensure that data meet their business needs
  • Lead and provide technical guidance for design and implementation of data storage and governance systems
  • Develops strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of a database
  • Designs and implements Information Lifecycle Management best practices
  • Be able to design and develop Databases, Data Warehouses and Multidimensional Databases
  • A wide degree of creativity and lateral thinking is expected
  • Create repeatable, automated DQ processes that provide proactive notification to key stakeholders when data issues are detected
  • Write complex SQL queries to pull and analyze data from large relational databases
  • Mastery of key data sources and documentation of data lineage to ensure efficient diagnosis of data quality issues
  • Consultation on data entry processes to minimize the risk of DQ issues and help key stakeholders understand data lineage impact
  • Consultation on current ETL and data integration processes to maximize quality of captured data
  • Ability to quickly understand business needs and translate into technical requirements

What You'll Need-

  • The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience
  • Bachelor's degree with concentration in IT or business
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive, relevant BI Architecture experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience creating and maintaining Data Solutions
  • Detailed knowledge of BI technology trends and best practices
  • Practical hands-on experience in implementing Big data technologies to meet business needs
  • Must have expert knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL and a working knowledge of MDX language
  • Demonstrated expertise with Oracle Databases (10g/11g), OBIEE 11g
  • Demonstrated expertise with key concepts of data such as metadata and master data management, business data domain rules, primary keys, data models, data types, etc.; problems, designing and implementing database solutions
  • Expertise with one or more of the following environments and tools such as Hadoop, Qlikview, Tableau, Couchbase, Cassandra, Microstrategy, Cognos, Informatica
  • Experience with Big Data, Master Data Management (MDM), Data Visualization, Data retention strategies, ETL, OLAP for both structured and unstructured data
  • Experience in the deployment of Data Management & Analytic platforms in Private Cloud, Hybrid Cloud, and On-Prem environments
  • Experience in the design and tuning of high user concurrency and large data volume analytical platforms
  • A broad understanding of all major technical platforms, technical architecture models; and enterprise architecture strategies
  • Strong knowledge of hardware and software evaluation principles and practice
