About the Job
As a Business Systems Analyst, you will work primarily with Product Operations, Product Management, Finance, and other internal CIO teams. Several downstream processes involve use of product configuration information, and today product information is spread out in many applications. We are working towards a single product master that will consolidate all information in one place. You will work in a global environment and own responsibility for business analysis of certain areas end to end.
About the Team
One key ingredient to Akamai's success has been an exceptional level of customer service and customization throughout a customer's life cycle–-quote creation, contracting, provisioning of products present on a contract to the Akamai network, integration, knowing what traffic to track, invoicing. Supporting these downstream activities requires a diverse array of upstream enterprise applications, an enterprise product master being an important component.
The team which is part of the “Product Lifecycle Management” is primarily responsible for developing, enhancing and supporting applications / solutions on Force.com to support creation, updates, phase management, pricing for Akamai products and services (essentially, an Enterprise Product Master catalog). The team is distributed, with staff both in Cambridge, MA and Bangalore, India. The team works on customizing, developing, implementing Salesforce solutions for Product Management/product operations.


* Liaison among stakeholders to analyze, prioritize, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems.
* Understand business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.
* Create comprehensive, accurate business and functional requirements and present them clearly to the management and stakeholders. Keep the business requirements for the application updated over time.
* Be the primary point of contact in the Cambridge office for the Bangalore development team, offering occasional first level of support for new functionality as well as providing local presence for requirements meetings, program management discussions.
* Develop an in-depth understanding of applications, understand the data model and its mapping to the various business processes.
* Be adaptive and responsive. Demonstrate ownership of assigned tasks. Be productive quickly in a new environment that is fast-paced. Learn new processes and multiple technologies.


Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Sciences/Systems Management or equivalent experience
* 3+ years professional experience
* 3+ years of experience performing similar BSA roles for CRM/enterprise-class systems (preferrably Salesforce)

Desired Qualifications:
* Experience supporting Salesforce
* Knowledge of the product lifecycle
* Extensive experience writing business requirements, functional requirements, test cases.
* Experience working with business stakeholders, technical teams, QA teams on delivering new systems functionality and troubleshooting issues, in an organized and timely manner, with a defined SDLC.
* Strong analytical skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
