Position Summary:

As a valued member of the management team, the Chef Concierge will create strategies to promote positive, proactive resident relations by working to make the rental living experience of the highest quality.

Job Duties:

  • Develop processes to ensure that each new resident has a personalized move in experience based on their preferences and needs.
  • Partner with marketing to build the community brand and create resident retention strategies. 
  • Develop and mentor a motivated concierge team through effective personnel management. This can be accomplished through personal example and setting and communicating clear standards.
  • Encourage team participation and model enthusiasm.
  • Cultivate and maintain all external relationships with 3rd party vendors.
  • Perform fair and consistent coaching and development.
  • Assist in the maintenance of high occupancy levels through programs and communication demonstrating high value and resident experience.
  • Display integrity and professionalism at all times in dealing with guests, employees and outside contacts
  • Ensure timely response time to residents.
  • Manage staff and organize department function in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Delegate tasks and department assignments or projects, meeting deadlines related to those assignments.
  • Focus on achieving the goals or objectives of the department using available resources.
  • Evaluate the schedule or timelines related to the completion of assignments, while maintaining service quality.
  • Leadership activities including talent selection, training, coaching and mentoring, goal setting, and performance reviews.
  • Strong depth of knowledge of local activities, e.g., theater, the arts, special exhibits, concerts, shows, sports, leisure activities, local attractions, etc. and the ability to establish close contacts with people in these areas to provide information, ticketing, reservations, etc. for residents.
  • Ensure that the following resident services are maintained by the concierge staff.
  •  Schedules restaurant or other activity reservations for current and future residents
  • Coordinates resolution of resident requests.  Delivers packages and dry cleaning as requested  Completes vacation mail pick-ups.
  • Checks out keys to vendors for occupied unit requests.
  • Schedules annual carpet cleaning and window cleaning appointments .
  • Keep package room and drying cleaning storage room organized with all deliveries logged for tracking.
  • Maintain filing, communications and record keeping in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with Warm Calls.
  • Ensures team members complete assigned calls; tracks call completion on checklist and maintains binder for review.
  • Resident Activities:  Supports Event Director relative to planning resident functions
  • Assists residents with Clubhouse reservations, activity sign-ups, ensuring that private events are posted and maintaining monthly calendar.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5-years of experience in hospitality; experience in onsite apartment administration preferred
  • Expert knowledge of the Los Angeles area and upcoming events, new restaurant openings, etc 
  • Strategic leader with strong business knowledge and the ability to connect service strategies to resident retention
  • Demonstrate critical business decision making, personal awareness, professionalism, integrity and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills, specifically in the area of customer resolution
  • Excellent oral and written communication interpersonal skills
  • Sound practical judgment of priorities
  • The ability to have a gracious approach to all activities, greets visitors and residents, handle calls and assist with resident issues  Exercise confidentiality in all areas
  • Understand, apply, and comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to work a varied schedule including, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
