We are looking for a talented designer for a 6 month contract as part of our our paid post-graduate training program (Apprenticeship). This program will provide graduates with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in assisting our Design teams. Apprentices will learn what it is like working for an exciting Global Design organization and will be part of a dynamic team charged with creating innovation for the Reebok brand.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Research culture, business, fitness and product-design trends and concepts under the guidance of staff designers and design directors
  • Create trend/story boards under the guidance of team designers
  • Assist color design teams and design categories in colorways for individual projects
  • Assist the Creative Direction department with various tasks including trend research, concept and color presentations, technical specification creation and color design operations
  • Contribute design ideas/concepts to new concept designs and seasonal creative directions
  • Provide creative input, design expertise and project management for bi-weekly Concept + Trend newsletters
  • Valuable exposure to the exciting and dynamic Reebok product creation process
  • Professional development including meetings with business leaders and human resources

 

Requirements:

  • Recent or up-and-coming graduates from a 4-year college or university (Bachelors and/or Masters). Graduation date must be between May 2016 and December 2017.
  • Students majoring in Product, Industrial, Fashion, Apparel, Graphic, Illustration, Furniture, and/or Transportation Design
  • Solid visualization, layout, graphic presentation skills, sketching and rendering expertise, and strong knowledge of Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop/InDesign
  • Team-oriented individual who can also work well independently
  • Passion for our brand and industry
  • Must be fluent in English
  • International candidates: We accept recent graduates from international locations. All candidates are responsible for obtaining their own J-1 or F-1 OPT visa before the start of the program along with the costs associated with the visa.
