What You'll Be Working On-

  • This position has 3 critical deliverables from a performance management perspective: New Store Openings, New First Year Sales, and Signings. Remodels are also vital to the transformation and evolution of the Dunkin' Brands standards
  • Enable the construction of profitable stores by partnering with Development counterparts and carefully assessing the feasibility of a location
  • Ensure design, layout, equipment, millwork, signage, and related components are aligned with prototype design specifications / brand standards, and executed on time/on budget
  • Ensure timely store development by managing corporate development or coaching and counseling franchisees on the management of activities relating to the design, permitting, and construction of new and remodeled stores
  • Successfully coach franchisees in the store development process
  • Lead and report accurate new store and remodel store development timelines, opening
  • Expedite development timelines by interacting with internal partners such as Store Planning and Equipment Services, and providing guidance to outside architects, engineers, general contractors and governmental agencies
  • Monitor progress and quality of construction by periodically visiting store construction sites and providing functional expertise and counsel to general contractors and franchisees
  • Lead cross-functional site-specific Responsibility Meetings and bi-weekly deal review calls for all new store development and remodel projects in the Construction Manager's market area to enable preparation, alignment, and accuracy of projected store opening dates

What You'll Need-

  • 4 year degree in architecture, engineering, project management or related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in construction management in a multi-unit restaurant or retail environment
  • Knowledge of many key architecture, engineering, and construction management principles associated with multi-unit, franchisee driven development
  • Ability to manage against established timelines and budgets
  • Ability to impact the course of events through coaching, counseling, and influencing as opposed to through direct control of events and activities
  • Experience in cost estimating and negotiating
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, MS Project
  • Ability to make effective, convincing presentation before public forums such as planning boards, city councils etc.
