At Articulate we're makers and connectors. It's very important that our systems help us hear the voice of our customers to empower us to make data-driven decisions. That's why we're looking for a data integration engineer who can build systems that allow us to connect various parts of the business and deliver insight to our staff.

Articulate is a fully distributed company that offers a high degree of autonomy. As part of a talented and driven IT team, you'll work closely with an awesome team of marketing, sales, customer support, customer success, and finance people.

The ideal person for this job is a multitalented data engineer who gets the big picture. You love working with a variety of people, both from the engineering and business worlds. You pay close attention to data discrepancies and you enjoy following data bread crumbs.

You can use your data skills to tell stories about our prospects and customers. If SQL was a spoken language, you'd be a native speaker. And you'll thrive at explaining your data (and any limitations) to non-technical folks.

Some of the tech you'll be working with includes: SQL, Periscope Data, Amazon Redshift, StitchData, AWS Glue, AWS Data Pipelines, and Talend.

Some more details about what you'll do:

  • Design data schema for the data warehouse.
  • Write automation jobs to create views and tune the data warehouse.
  • Figure out how to reconcile data between systems.
  • Write jobs to push data from the data warehouse to other systems.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to create dashboards.
  • Use your understanding of the data to make recommendations about key indicators.
  • Tune the data warehouse for query performance.
  • Train users on how to use data reporting tools so they can self-serve.
