About the Role

IPDN is seeking a world-class Digital Marketing Director obsessed with amplifying our story, creating customer journeys and driving growth. The Digital Marketing Director will lead, build and manage a team that is responsible for the conceptualization and execution of digital marketing programs and activities that support membership, events, training and certification programs. The ideal candidate will successfully create, implement and optimize the go-to-market strategy and plan for all existing and new products and partner with key stakeholders to identify and assess target member needs and help refine the message to that segment.
 

This position is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, training, and managing digital marketing functions across all channels to meet and exceed the revenue, expense management, and profitability objectives for all programs.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute both short and long term plans for continued sales & profit growth through prioritizing, and driving forward membership enhancements, functionality & campaigns.

  • Expert understanding of marketing automation, web metrics, digital media testing methodology and optimization strategies.

  • Formulate and enhance our CRM strategy (based on consumer lifecycle, brand pillars, launch activity) increasing retention and revenue and optimizing ROI on campaigns.

  • Establish and build a robust set of customer Journeys and triggered campaigns to support customer lifecycle management.

  • Analyze findings, identify trends and provide strategic recommendations for optimization.

  • Manage the maximization of customer lifetime value across digital channels, and ensure seamless ease of access and ease of transaction.

  • Oversee the development of all organic social media channels including campaigns to increase engagement and conversions.

  • Deliver insightful category and competitive analysis that will help shape a strategic and operational e-commerce program.

  • Build organizational capabilities with the marketing team to share best practices and collaborate on emerging trends and business opportunities.


Requirements:

  • At least 7 years of overall digital marketing and email marketing experience.

  • BA/BS in Business or Marketing required, MBA preferred.

  • Experience within e-commerce and/or direct to consumer platforms/organizations preferred.

  • Experience managing budgets and sales plans.

  • Experience in developing short and long term strategic plans.

  • Exceptional collaboration skills, proven ability to form strong cross-functional relationships with varying business partners.
