Parsons is seeking a Civil Engineer to provide drainage design and engineering for this important highway project in Texas, as well as other ongoing regional projects. The civil engineer selected for this role will be integral in assuring the successful completion of the project. The successful candidate will perform conventional and moderately-complex engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses within the civil engineering discipline.
 
Typical products may include drainage calculations, erosion control drawings and calculations, quantity calculations, bridge hydraulic studies, technical reports, and detailed analyses. 
 
Provides input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
 
Competency in drainage and general civil engineering, abilities to assist in meeting critical components of project scope, and experience on TX DOT transportation projects will be keys to your success. 
 
 
 
 
Requirements
  • 5-8  years drainage and general civil design experience on major transportation projects
  • Competency in delivering critical design components of project scope, assignments or tasks
  • Knowledge of Clean Water Act, bridge hydraulics, drainage design and erosion/sedimentation/pollution control plans including storage design and pond design experience on TX DOT projects preferred
  • Strong background in the use of InRoads and MicroStation and other software packages typically associated with hydraulics and drainage design
  • PE preferred
  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related field required
  • Willingness to travel preferred
