Job Description: 

 

Harris is looking for an experienced electrical engineer to join a cross-functional team responsible for developing innovative new communications devices for Harris’ public safety and government customers. The ideal candidate is skilled in the latest technologies, self-motivated with a strong innovation orientation, and works well in a collaborative team environment.

 

The electrical engineer will lead RF design of cutting edge products that incorporate the latest processor and wireless communications technologies. Responsibilities include brainstorming and prototyping new product concepts, and working with internal and external engineering resources to develop, validate and deliver high quality products.

 

Qualifications:   

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience with board schematic entry and leading development of new board designs

 

Additional Skills: 

  • Experience developing LTE or cellular networking equipment
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with a cross-functional team                                                 
  • Strong debugging and problem solving skills
  • Strong innovation orientation
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with a cross-functional team
  • Experience with product development and manufacturing introduction
  • Experience developing LMR equipment
  • Experience working with component vendors
