Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Plant needs a Facilities Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in maintaining and repairing the proper working condition of all company property, utility equipment, process equipment and HVAC systems.
  • Perform onsite facilities repair and preventative maintenance work orders on all physical aspects of all buildings, manufacturing equipment, controls, landscape, and HVAC systems.
  • Knowledge in the repair and maintenance of: heating, cooling, or ventilation equipment; Compressed air systems/dryers; Boilers; Sewage systems; Central vacuum; Power and electricity; Nitrogen generation systems; etc.
  • Analyzes and solves technical maintenance problems
  • Work according to planned maintenance SOP’s, PMO’s and protocols
  • Ensure that all P.M’s are followed and performed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering desired
  • 5+ years’ experience in a pharmaceutical facility management or closely related
  • Knowledge of all hand tools, meters, test manifolds a must
  • Ability to weld, solder, thread pipes, paint, construct and demo as needed
  • Working knowledge of electrical wiring and installation, control wiring, PlC knowledge a plus
  • Understanding and ability to manage a building management control system
  • Ability to communicate and work with outside contractors a must
  • Must apply deductive reasoning and understand complicated issues.
  • Ability to receive instructions and follow work rules, safety practices, and company policies.
  • Must meet deadlines and effectively deal with office stress.
