Leidos has a career opening for an Instructor Pilot (IP) located CONUS/OCONUS.


The job of the Instructor Pilot (IP) in King Air 350 aircraft to support contracted OCONUS flight operations. Will primarily be working in Manassas, VA until July. After July, expect to deploy OCONUS standard rotations 60/60 rotations. These are approximately 60 days on with approximately 60 days off. IPs must meet our high standards of aviator skill, safety, professionalism, and customer focus. IPs are required to live and work in austere conditions.


*Support all flight operational duties as a Pilot-In-Command (PIC) and Instructor Pilot (IP) in the King Air 350 aircraft from flight planning, pre and post flight operations and as requested by the site lead and Leidos program Chief Pilot. *Operate aircraft in accordance with applicable regulations, and program/corporate policies and procedures.

*Must note and communicate aircraft deficiencies for maintenance review and correction.

*Perform flights in day, and night, and all weather conditions when called upon.

*Document pilot in-flight performance in accordance with Leidos Standardization Policy and Procedures.



*Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of related experience. Additional years' experience may be used in lieu of a degree.

*1,500 hours PIC total time.

*500 hours PIC in a Super King Air 350 aircraft or similar type aircraft type.

*Must hold at least a Commercial Airplane Multiengine Instructor Pilot (CFI/II/MEI) and Instrument Airplane Airman Certificate.

*Must be at least 21 years of age.

*Must be a U.S. Citizen.

*Must possess a current passport.

*Must possess a valid state driver's license.

*Must read, write, speak and understand English.

*Must possess FAA Class II Medical Certificate.

*Must possess an active security clearance at the SECRET level, or higher.


*500 hours of Multiengine Instructor Pilot time.

*2,500 hours of PIC time.

*Proline 21 experience.

*Former U.S. Military, Customs, DEA Pilot.

*U.S. Military Standardization Instructor Pilot, Instructor Pilot, Maintenance Pilot.

*Prior OCONUS rotation experience, particularly in current area of operation.

*Active security clearance at Top Secret level.
