What You'll Be Working On-

  • Working with the architects and development lead, documents and develops best practices for development, and deployment of applications, and works with members to foster growth within the team
  • Predicts application development requirements based on changes in underlying architecture, effectively leverages appropriate design tradeoffs and cost/benefit analysis during design/development process
  • Either individually or leading a team of resources, determines hardware/software systems requirements and leads systems hardware/software design. Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, supports, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products.
  • Works closely with project management, product ownership and QA to ensure that test coverage for upcoming releases is in place
  • Conduct unit, system and integration testing activities
  • Ensure the application is robust, optimally performance capable by periodically performing stress/load tests based on varying inputs
  • Maintain/update application documentation using JIRA, Confluence
  • Make process improvement recommendations
  • Create and execute web service tests for back end RESTful web services
  • Conducts POC for strategic and up-coming technologies

What You'll Need-

  • Bachelor's degree with a computer science focus or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of progressive related experience within an IT department
  • High level skills in Core Java, using the latest SDKs and tools and frameworks such as Spring
  • Experience with developing J2EE framework, GoF Design Patterns, Enterprise Integration Patterns
  • Designing n-Tier OO system architectures using OOD and UML
  • Experience with fault tolerance framework Hystrix
  • Experience with AWS serverless computation Lambda, API Gateway, DynmoDB, Kinesis
  • Experience with JMeter or similar automation tools
  • Experience in SQL and relational databases.
  • Knowledge of PCI, PII, OAuth 2.0
  • Strong working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence and related technologies.
  • Demonstrational knowledge testing iOS and Android native applications.
  • Experience testing REST web services
  • Familiar with Node.js and other .js framework
  • Background in interfacing with back-end applications using RESTful services, and JSON
