Opportunity for an experienced LPN to join a dynamic team supporting Pediatric Urgent Care and Pediatric specialties for our busy Somerville practice.
As the dedicated team member the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide direct patient care, meeting both psychological and physical needs of the patients, families in accordance with physicians' orders, OSHA, nursing and department guidelines. Fulfills these duties to contribute to the continuity and quality of care while fostering the best interest and well-being of patients and their families. Identifies those situations requiring clinical judgment and escalates these issues to clinicians.
Education: Graduate of a state-approved school of practical nursing.
Skills and Experience: Requires a current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Minimum of one year Pediatric experience, preferably in ambulatory care, medical office or acute care.
Excellent communication skills. Proficient computer skills required . Experience with PPD readings, cath insertion,
