* Provide quality and accurate parts in a timely fashion
Provide machining support for all facility and equipment needs.
* Support and promote lean manufacturing practices and principles.
* Able to work flexible shifts as required to meet business needs.
* Continue education in order to meet job requirements.
* Continually support Machine Shop customer relations.
Perform special duties or assignments as required throughout maintenance.
* Required to operate standard milling, lathe and surfacing equipment along with CNC milling and lathe equipment.
* Make recommendations and suggestions on the most efficient ways to produce parts.
* Understand all job related functions and quality requirements.
Be proficient at reading assembly drawings and prints including scales, symbols and dimensions.
* Ensure quality & safety standards are met; report unsafe conditions, accidents or injuries per Andersen's Safety Policy.
* Participate in all required training. Provide a training plan to your supervisor each year for approval.
* Ensure workspace is clean, safe and organized.
* Provide input and feedback to supervisor in regard to job performance.
* Able to support lean manufacturing.
* Assist or perform other departmental jobs as directed.
* Formal education with Two-year machine shop degree or diploma in related field (with experience in metrology). Example - WITC, St. Paul Technical College (or equal).
* CNC programming skills / Milltronics & Mastercam
* Skillful in using precision measuring equipment.
* Computer skills required.
* Good mechanical aptitude.
* Good physical condition. Note: Job requires some heavy lifting. (0-35 pounds frequently, 35-100 pounds occasionally)
* Willing to work flexible hours, shifts, and weekends when needed.
* Good organizational skills, communication skills, self-directed and able to work in a team environment.
****This is a 3rd shift position. Hours are from 10:00 pm - 6:20 am; SUNDAY Through FRIDAY with some flexibility.
