Purpose:  Manages the execution and delivery of accurate and on-time artwork for in-line apparel product lines, as well as, quick turn sales opportunities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and direct the art staff in generating all artwork which includes:
    • Building full size art for in-line and hot market graphic and style conversions
    • Generating Graphic Formats and Factory Tech Packs for manufacturing
    • Producing Graphic Boards, Style Boards, Team Boards and Team Binders, League Approval Art Board and Collateral Files
    • Creating Garment Symbols and other required reference material
  • Work with Scheduling, Product Managers, Go-To-Market Managers, Design and Collateral to ensure accuracy of art and meeting necessary deadlines.
  • Review and adjust daily workload schedules to meet required delivery dates of art by reprioritizing, utilizing additional resources, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve art issues with Production Art, Indirect, Internal Manufacturing and external Contractors.
  • Staffing
    • Provide guidance in day to day operations.
    • Provide leadership in terms of coaching/mentoring.
    • Support development opportunities through cross training and internal/external training.
    • Provide overall performance stats monthly.
  • Identify, assess, implement and assist in development and streamlining of the production development creation cycle.
  • Support System developments.
  • Involved in corporate initiative that effect current business practice to implement new policies and procedures.
  • Complete projects as assigned by Manager.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Adobe Creative Suites products (Illustrator & Photoshop)


Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Associates Degree required.  College Degree in Graphic Arts a plus.
  • Minimum of two years’ production art experience required.
  • Working knowledge of CS processes and procedure a plus
  • Management experience essential
