Marketing Associate

The Marketing Associate will perform detailed market research and analysis, and transform it into actionable insights for our commercial teams and business leadership. We are looking for associates who are passionate about marketing, working collaboratively with others and have an innate curiosity about passenger rail and the future of mobility.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

 

As a core member of Alstom’s Marketing and Strategy team, the Marketing Associate position will have exposure and visibility to Alstom executives and cross-functional team leaders. S/he, will:

 

  • Possess excellent analytical, communication and presentation (written and oral) skills
  • Perform detailed market research and analysis using both internal and external resources
  • Consistently deliver quality outputs, with an ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Develop reports that effectively present business conditions, information and insight
  • Create knowledge repositories, producing monthly analysis and insights packages
  • Must be extremely well-organized and capable of handling multiple projects and ad-hoc requests
  • Present findings on a regular basis to all levels of management.
  • Act as business partner to the commercial team to support the achievement of growth objectives
  • Manage the customer reference strategy, pipeline
  • Build and maintain relationships with global teams across the company

Candidate Requirements

Educational Requirements

Minimum 4-year undergraduate degree, MBA, MS or other advanced degree preferred

Experience (Essential Functions)

Two to five years working experience; Some prior market research or consulting experience preferred; Knowledge of the rail transportation industry experiences B2B value selling experience preferred.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

Computer Skills                                             

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
