Description

Physical Demands: 

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Maximum standing requirements up to 8 to 12 hours per day
  • Frequent reaching, pulling, and pushing
  • Ability to climb step ladders and rolling ladders/stairs
  • Occasional and sometimes frequent kneeling and squatting
  • Must wear personal protective equipment (i.e. eye protection, hearing protection, safety shoes, gloves, sleeves, etc.)
  • Ability to work inside and outside in variable temperatures
  • Must be able to step on and off, and walk safely on any type of loading trailer or container

Work Environment:

  • Noise levels requiring hearing protection
  • Working around equipment that requires eye protection
  • Temperature levels from 40⁰F to 105⁰F
  • In close proximity to moving trucks, trailers, and fork trucks

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience is highly desired
  • Ability to read and write
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to read a tape measure

Job Functions:

  • Responsible for reporting inventory discrepancies to the Team Leader/Supervisor
  • Understands Shipping dock layout
  • Can utilize a forklift to place parts for parts presentation
  • Can make sound decisions to promote safety, quality and customer service
  • Ability to communicate with Team Leader/Material Expeditor to facilitate parts that are short
  • Adhere to all safety standards
  • Compliant and understand all GSI and OSHA required forklift training
  • Directly responsible for the following KPI’s: SCOT, Average Load Time, Schedule Attainment, Damages and Complete Line Shortages
  • Ability to promote and enforce 5S standards
  • Understands the preparation for order pulling and pallet requirements
  • Ability to accurately scan inventory in and out of the cell using RF and handheld scanner

Must be able to create barcodes for part identification
