Person will be part of Network Operations team & will be responsible for Akamai Corporate IT Global Network Infrastructure’s Operation,Troubleshooting,Installation,Migration work

About the Team

Enterprise infrastructure services is divided into three groups, Helpdesk responsible for client side operations (Laptops, Desktops, Voice & Video), Operations team for Datacenter operations & Engineering team for project planning, evaluation and implementation of new technologies as per business requirements.


* Provide on-going administration and Tier1/Tier2 support of Corporate Network Infrastructure (Cisco/Juniper/Aruba).
* Troubleshoot wired and wireless Ethernet networking technologies (including VLANs, Dot1x, Spanning Tree, Port Channeling, 802.11abgn, etc.).
* Use our system resource utilization and monitoring tools to identify potential problem areas before they result in incidents.
* Perform the code/image upgrades on the network devices (Cisco/Juniper/Aruba).
* Should be willing to rack and cable equipment.
* Provide 24 x 5 x 365 support on a rotating on-call schedule.


Basic Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering,or related field
* CCNA certification

* 4-6 years’ experience configuring and managing routers and switches.
* 4+ years managing complex network security devices (e.g. firewalls -Juniper SRX specifically, VPN concentrators). Juniper firewall/VPN and/or Aruba wireless controller experience with clearpass highly preferred.

Desired Qualifications

* CCNP certification

* Strong background in wired and wireless Ethernet networking technologies (including VLANs, Dot1x, Spanning Tree, Port Channeling, 802.11abgn, etc.) and network security concepts.
* Demonstrated proficiency with routing protocols and related technologies, RIP, OSPF, EIGRP,BGP.
* Excellent understanding of network applications and protocols (e.g. SSH, DNS, SMTP, etc.).
* Advanced knowledge of client-based networking with systems running Windows, Mac OSX, or Linux.
* Basic knowledge on F5 or any load-balancer product portfolio
* Understanding of end-to-end data flows and traffic patterns (wireshark).
* Understanding of wired and wireless 802.1X access control.
* Understanding of voice and videoconferencing systems and related technologies.
* Experience interfacing with Network Monitoring systems and Linux command line.
* Pulse Secure SSL VPN knowledge preferable
