The Team Lead is responsible for ensuring production employees are actively engaged to meet daily production standards within quality parameters in order to achieve the production plan.


  • Ensures that necessary production material and equipment is available based on production plan.
  • Coordinates labor coverage for the shift and makes necessary adjustments to meet production schedule.
  • Organizes the work throughout the shift and assists employees as needed.
  • Balances productivity goals while maintaining a quality product.
  • Uses basic problem solving skills to ensure stable operation of the work cell.
  • Looks for ways to minimize defect or errors encountered.
  • Utilizes SAP and other systems to report production, scrap, downtime, problems and issues related to the equipment and labor reporting.
  • Identifies and support continuous improvement efforts with Production Supervisor.
  • Sustains and participates in lean manufacturing activities.
  • Effectively cross trains personnel and recommends skill development to achieve departmental goals.
  • Provides accurate feedback to the supervisor with regard to employee performance (attendance/work).
  • Conducts meetings with the team based on information received in the DDS meeting.
  • Minimize conflict within the department and encourage open lines of communication, treating all employees fairly, fostering team spirit, and maintaining an air of
  • professionalism and credibility.
  • Reports problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials and labor to Production Supervisor.
  • Works safety and maintains a safe, organized and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Reports safety hazards and work-related injuries to supervision immediately.
  • Performs variety of positions in the production area.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as needed.


  • High school diploma or G.E.D desired.
  • 3+ Years of Manufacturing Experience
  • Basic Math Skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
  • Ability to read, understand and carry out instructions (i.e. operating procedures, safety standards, labels).
  • Able to work effectively in a multi-tasking work environment and prioritize workload
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Able to interact positively with others within the department and the organization
  • Basic knowledge of and ability to use powered and pneumatic hand tools.
  • Initiative and proactive behavior in work environment.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 40lbs occasionally throughout shift.
  • Stands and walks consistently for 8-10 hours.
  • Occasionally assembles small parts requiring manual dexterity for shift duration.
  • Occasionally bends, stoops, and reaches at shoulder level for shift duration.
  • Continuous movement at work station throughout shift.
