Under the supervision of the Business Operation Supervisor, responsible for ensuring that all patients are accurately registered into the practice management system including posting payments, co-payments and adjustments. Provides billing information to staff members and provides financial counsel within established parameters to patients who have outstanding balances (e.g., setting up payment plans, options for handling unpaid balances). Responsible for coordinating and facilitating the processing of patients with job related injuries or illnesses. Serves as the contact person for the patient, employer, insurer, utilization review agents, and practice staff members.

Minimum Requirements
Education: High School graduate (or equivalent education, training or experience). Related Associate's degree in Business or related field preferred.
Skills and Experience: Skills and experience typically acquired through three years of experience in third party billing and collections. Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication, computer and telephone skills. Knowledge and understanding of various health insurance plans required. Previous health care business office experience, exposure to workers' compensation cases and procedures.
