Job Title 

Payroll Manager

 

 

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

 

 

  • US and Canadian payroll

  • Responsible for Payroll system updates 

  • Responsible for time and attendance system and other related interfaces
  • Management of multiple payrolls consistent with all applicable wage and hour laws.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on all payroll processes and procedures, including but not limited to, extra on/off cycle payrolls, year-end processing, retro calculations, etc.
  • Serve as point of contract for payroll issues and engages appropriate resources for resolution.
  • Administer periodic audits and review of process, systems and output to ensure payroll is achieving accurate intended results and all security restrictions are functioning.
  • Administer expatriate payrolls in close coordination with International HR colleagues and any related external tax providers.
  • Provide ongoing communication, training and strong leadership to the payroll team including performance and productivity goals.
  • Actively manage key internal relationships with HR, Finance, Internal Audit, and other department/contacts, as appropriate.
  • To foster continuous improvement in terms of efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Direct supervision of payroll team to ensure the group works in a collaborative and effective manner.

 

 

 

Candidate Requirements

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or other related field

 

Experience (Essential Functions)

Minimum of 7 years of large payroll processing experience that includes exposure to 401(k) and time entry systems.

Minimum of 3 years of managerial experience.

Experience with Payroll Projects.
