Junior Pipeline Materials Engineer

Houston, TX


Are you an experienced engineer in the oil and gas segment with a diverse background in plant design and piping?  Are you located in Houston, but willing to travel as needed to other project sites around the country?  If so, this is the position for you! 

 

Our Engineers are expected to complete a wide variety of difficult engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses within one discipline.  Our engineers work in a team, on projects that may include Feasibility studies, FEED or full turnkey EPC opportunities.  

 

In this role, you are expected to be experienced in all aspects of design, for both large and small diameter pipe and related facilities, including experience in working with pipe material selection, flow and pressure design, drafting/designers, preparation of specifications, preparation of construction contracts, as well as management of construction projects.

 

We value project experience with gas and liquid measurement, treating, separation, dehydration, pumps and compressors, gas and liquid storage, codes standards and testing requirements.   

 

This is a marquee Federal Design/Build project with a 2022 completion date.

 

 

US Citizenship is required.  A National Agency Check will be required.

** NO Relocation assistance/NO sign-on bonus will be available for this position.

 

SALARY RANGE:

 

$52k to $64k annual with full benefits

 

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 

4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) required

 

Minimum 3+ years of related work experience required. Oil and Gas industry experience highly preferred

 

EIT preferred 

 

Excellent communications ability to interface with both team members and stake holders.

 

Ability to prepare accurate and understandable written communications and specifications.
