PMO Project Planning Expert

If so, you may be the perfect candidate for the Project Planning Expert position in the NPI (new product integration) PMO (Program Management Office) at Micron Technology, Inc., a global, Fortune 200 leader in the semiconductor industry based in Boise, Idaho.

In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, maintaining and benchmarking product development schedules for a comprehensive portfolio of memory products from the planning stage through qualification and product ramp in accordance with Micron’s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Create credible project schedules that include the work of all participating functions
  • Conduct workshops to develop schedules for new memory products at Micron
  • Certify as an expert in the ProChain™ scheduling software
  • Support Program Managers with ProChain™ related questions
  • Development of a continuous improvement process for schedule builds including post mortems / lesson learned sessions
  • Align schedule development, resource scenarios and project complexities to improve schedule repeatability and to enable comparison between programs and schedule metrics. 

 

On the job training for ProChain™ will be provided by ProChain™ experts.

 

Successful candidates for this position:

  • Are able to drive complex development projects
  • Are self-aligned, outspoken and able to get things done following a structured approach
  • Have the ability to quickly analyze data and information
  • Communicate openly and effectively
  • Have a good presence in meetings and excellent presentation skills
  • Have a strong engineering background in semiconductor industry, ideally a good understanding of memory product development
  • ProChain™ knowledge/certification is desirable but not required
  • Are able to travel domestically and internationally
  • 5+ years of experience in semiconductor or system development

 

Education:

  • BS degree or equivalent degree required
