The OB/GYN regional manager, manages the overall operations, staff and budgets ofthe Kenmore, Copley, Post Office Square and Quincy practice locationswithin the OB/GYN service line. The manager participates in the design and subsequent implementation of clinical, and administrative operations within the designated region of responsibility and ensures the delivery of highly integrated and patient centered care. This position functions with a high degree of independence, under minimal supervision and has authority for independent decision making within the scope of responsibility. You will team with the executive director, service line leadership, and OB site chiefs to provide unified leadership and consistent communication to MDs, APRNs, and providers within the region. The manager works closely with other region and service line management to ensure that Atrius Health practice standards are met and that patient expectations are met or exceeded. You will attend meetings and take part in Department wide projects as assigned and ensure that all operations are patient focused, support providers and standardized among all four regions in conjunction with other OB/GYN regional managers. Fiscal responsibility will include ensuring efficient staff ratios and adequate staffing levels while minimizing overtime. You will manage all operational cost to budget for assigned region and ensure operational and clinical practices maximize revenue
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate discipline required. Master's degree (or equivalent) in business or health administration preferred.
EXPERIENCE
7-10 years of experience required in a healthcare operational or business management role. Experience working in an OB/GYN environment is a plus. Comprehensive knowledge of management and supervisory principles, practices and techniques required. Minimum of 3 years' supervisory experience in a clinical capacity required.
SKILLS
You must have demonstrated organizational, leadership and teamwork skills and strong decision making ability to make decisions independently when necessary and appropriate. Strong organizational and problem resolution skills along with the ability to implement procedures and processes efficiently are required. Knowledge of creating and managing an expense budget is necessary and you must have the ability to represent the OB/GYN Department professionally at all time and provide leadership across disciplines when appropriate and in all interactions within Atrius and with external entities.
