Job Role Summary

 

Ensure effective Reliability Leadership structures to drive implementation, sustainment and management of change. Lead a Reliability Leadership Team (RLT) and provide input to the Safety and Reliability Operating Committee (SROC).

Ensure effective continuous improvement of reliability systems. Work annual improvement plans defining integrated work process improvements and lead incident investigations identifying work process gaps and root cause behaviors.

Job Role Responsibilities

 

  • Work with Site Management Teams to define expectations and key deliverables for supporting the reliability system sustainment GRS implementation and sustainment
  • Monitor key site reliability system activities ensuring that they are aligned with Management expectations and site priorities and objectives
  • Oversee the assignment and training of reliability Sponsors and Administrators
  • Facilitate Sponsor/Administrator interaction with Reliability System Owner and the Business Team Leads to ensure they stay current on improvements and changes
  • Work with the reliability Administrators/engineers to develop an integrated resource and activity schedule for implementation, improvement and sustainment activities. Integrate into site and Business Team Reliability Improvement Plans and budgets.
  • Define Sponsors and Administrators stewardship deliverables for the Reliability Leadership Team to demonstrate implementation effectiveness (including reliability health metrics).
  • Ensure effective training on site reliability and operational integrity system for local and circuit practices to existing and new site employees.
  • Coordinate/maintain grid of what reliability assimilation training is needed by what role. 
  • Support and lead the development of the site reliability improvement plan as part of the Annual Planning process.
  • Review reliability trend data and advise Management and Business Teams on facilities, work process and tool improvements that can provide the greatest Business impact.
  • Responsible for the implementation effectiveness of the Reliability Operating Committee (ROC)
  • Become the Subject Matter Expert for site reliability systems, historical practices, and plant design decisions.
  • Ensures that operating or facility changes impacting reliability have proposed deviations to reliability related standards and guidelines, and first time applications of new technology are adequately reviewed
  • Support the reliability incident management system with a focus on ensuring the quality and completeness of incident investigations and reporting.
  • Review formal Reliability investigation reports for quality and completeness, ensuring that incident information is properly documented in the system for sharing (both on and off site)
  • Responsible for facilitation of the site Reliability Leadership Team
  • Lead development and communication of Site reliability principles and site reliability priorities
  • Advise site leadership on site culture and shortcomings, with recommendations for continued improvement strategies
  • Ensures that reliability performance trends are reviewed on a regularly scheduled basis and any issues raised are properly addressed
  • Serve as site Reliability and Integrity Leadership member to facilitate sharing and learning from other sites on effective application of reliability systems – with focus on the Leadership Elements.
  • Interface with Reliability Support Organization as Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the site
  • Coordinate Reliability and Mechanical Integrity Peer Assists

Qualifications: Education, Experience, Special Skills

 

  • The Reliability Coordinator is an anchor position and should have extensive experience (+10 yrs) around industrial reliabity implementation and practices for the site. This role serves as the continuity with turnover in Management and the site historian to provide reliability knowledge and sound guidance on site culture and historical decisions and events.
  • They need to have knowledgeable of relevant industry used reliability /operations integrity systems and their application to the sites work processes to improving reliability.
  • They need to be skilled in applying and driving management systems and work processes.
  • They should have proven leadership capabilities with strong communication and team working skills, through a combination of formal training and experience.
  • The incumbent should have excellent analytical problem solving capabilities and a proven reputation to set high standards and promote improvements.
  • This individual is respected for their knowledge and sound judgment; having the ability and authority to speak openly and honestly to the Site Management Team.
