JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing leadership to the Collections Unit of the Taxpayer Services Process, General Tax Administration Program.  The incumbent in this position will be expected to follow and hold all employees accountable to the Department of Revenue Standards of Conduct, model ethical behavior, and demonstrate the Department's mission, vision and values in all activities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to management of work processes and employee schedules in order to meet expected service levels, administrative tasks, conducting coaching, counseling, recognition and development of staff, monitor quality assurance, analyze performance and improve processes.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue;
  • One year experience in navigating and interpreting account information using SUNTAX (System for Unified Taxation) tax accounting software;    
  • One year experience in a billing/collection process;    
  • One year experience coordinating work assignments for large groups of eight or more people;     
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite; for example, Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc;
  • Experience communicating both in verbally and in writing.
