The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Product Development Center (PDC) located in Wauwatosa, WI is home to the mantra - You dream it. We build it. Join us as a Sr. Cost Analyst in Product Development Purchasing. This individual will play a key role in leading the integration of component level cost modeling and alternative cost evaluation into Product Development Methodology (M9). The breadth of this position includes cost management for the project/part Life Cycle Plan from product planning through launch and will have accountability for a system/platform.

The Sr. Cost Analyst will:
-Provide financial analysis of a part, process; capital, development expense and cost utilizing industry standard software/systems such as SAP, BDI, Solid Modeling, and/or AS400
- Serve as a trusted advisor by leveraging expertise to influence and inform decisions.
- Determine cost drivers and demonstrate the ability to teach others cost and financial analysis concepts
- Communicate effectively (oral, written, and presentation) to all levels of employees including management and senior leadership.

Education Required
Bachelor’s degree is preferred

Experience Required
A minimum of 5 years related experience is required. Manufacturing, Finance, Accounting, and/or product development experience is preferred, including the following:
- Knowledge of manufacturing processing of durable goods at a component and/or subsystems level within an automotive, motorcycle, or other heavy industry manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to operations techniques including Lean Manufacturing, Design for Manufacturing & Design for Assembly (DFM/DFA) and other quality/continuous improvement tools.
- Exposure to cost management, predictive cost analysis including total product cost modeling.
