The Financial Analyst for SBU will be a part of a team supporting the Storage Business Unit with timely, accurate and useful financial reporting.  The analyst will work with cross-functional teams in finance, marketing, sales, engineering and operations as a trusted business partner to build and improve Micron’s growing NAND and SSD business.  Important responsibilities may include:

  • Budgeting and analysis of SBU SG&A and R&D spending
  • Capital planning for direct SBU capital
  • Maintaining, updating and reconciling the SBU SSD TM1 and Analyst Models around volume, pricing, revenues and costs
  • Analysis and forecasting of SBU Inventory
  • Providing detailed SSD cost reporting and analysis for BU partners
  • PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) reporting summaries for SBU
  • Other ad-hoc analysis as needed

 

Key Skills:

  • A strong background in handling, organizing and analyzing large data sets
  • Experience in financial budgeting and reporting
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships across Micron
  • Demonstrated analytical & problem solving skills
  • Very proficient in Excel (Pivot Tables, charting and graphing, complex modeling).  Expert level preferred.
  • High level proficiency in PowerPoint

 

Experience & Education

Bachelor in Finance, Accounting or Economics (other bachelor degrees considered if applicable)

with 3+ years of Finance Experience

OR 2 years of experience with MBA
