The role of the SQL Developer is to develop and support Microsoft SQL solutions. This person works to define technical requirements and gain an understanding of the business to be effective at satisfying end user requests. Additionally, this person will work with business owners to define, design, and develop requirements given time and budget constraints. Key responsibilities of this position include: creating and modifying stored procedures and views and creating and maintaining technical documentation.


Duties include:


  • Create, modify and test various SQL queries, stored procedures and views for obtaining data from diverse source systems and platforms.
  • Analyze problems as assigned and provide solutions to address business needs
  • Assist in the roll-out of new SQL based applications, problem fixes, and enhancements of software
  • Create consistent and accurate technical end-user documentation of implemented applications, databases and systems
  • Provide data management support to users.


Requirements are:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 2 years developing and supporting Microsoft SQL Server databases in a production environment
  • Microsoft Database Certification
  • Previous business analysis experience
  • Familiar with change control methodologies
  • Hands on experience with Transact SQL and a demonstrated ability to create/debug stored procedures and SQL views
  • Basic skills in Tableau report development
  • Familiar with AWS products, including S3, EMR, and Spark is a plus
