General Information

In this position, you will be responsible for implementing software (writing custom code and integrating 3rd party software) required to develop and maintain the department enterprise solution, databases and test equipment. Assist with the design/build of network-connected test equipment. Create or source software required for the operation of R&D test equipment. This will include participation in the design/build of network-connected test equipment and integration with department enterprise solution. Troubleshoot existing applications and conduct system maintenance with a goal of ZERO (unscheduled) DOWNTIME. This will often be a collaborative effort with the hardware design and maintenance staff. Participate with the creation and execution of preventative maintenance and/or generational replacement strategies for both software and hardware in test systems. Evaluate end user functionality of test systems and develop requirements for improved or new systems. Investigate 3rd party software and identified hardware for application and compatibility with Titleist systems. Participate with departmental efforts to expand and improve the operation and use of department databases and test equipment. As identified, create invention records with a purpose of retaining and broadening our Freedom to Operate within golf ball design, manufacturing and testing.


The qualified candidate will possess a BS in a Computer Engineering or Engineering having an emphasis in mathematics and the physical sciences required. Most preferred candidates will have advanced degree course work within an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering discipline. Continuing course work/formalized training with emerging software applications required. 3 years experience working within an Engineering environment designing and developing applications in Microsoft Visual Studio with use of IDE and Debugger is required. Experience with Iot devices required. Demonstrated object oriented programming skills required. 3+ years experience with C#, Java, C++ required. Must have demonstrated capability with SQL Server. Experience connecting to hardware through API or SDK, such as National Instruments Measurement Studio, RESTful API, or Websockets and through serial, USB, TCP/IP, and digital or analog inputs. Experience with Labview, Matlab, XML/JSON, Python, JavaScript, Node.js, or HTML is desirable. Must pass Health Services screening, including accurate color vision. Must not be adversely affected by chemicals in a laboratory, golf ball manufacturing or golf course environment. Must be capable of listing 40 pounds and able to travel locally daily. Must be able to travel overnight, occasionally on short notice.
