Throughout our history, we've contributed to energy projects around the world, evolving with the industry and responding to changes with the agility we're known for!  Our team of project managers and engineers, are the best in the industry at working with our customers to understand the unique nature of their project requirements and to provide them with integrated solutions designed for optimal performance.   We are looking for Piping designers to support new and existing oil and gas projects in the Houston area.  If you are the right one for us, you know how to create moderate to complex designs, take great pride in your work and have a couple of oil and gas engineering and construction projects under your belt! 
In this role, you will perform facility designs and layouts for Piping and other mechanical systems.  We expect you to have a broad knowledge of technical applications, maintenance, operation and clearance constraints to effectively design these systems.  Our designers must be able to create moderate to complex, reliable models with precision and a high degree of accuracy including mating surfaces, finding correct library parts, performing extrusions, creating assemblies, exploded view diagrams, and layout with BOM's. 
Additional Responsibilities:
Consistently produces all layouts and section views with accurate BOM's, callouts, and dimensions
Delivers consistent value engineered alternatives in designs
Performs preliminary design calculations and simulations such as load lists, flow models, piping and structural stress analysis for engineer review
Develops, improves, and publishes department practices/standards
Reviews scope documents and specifications for verification of design against the design intent and customer requirements
Prepares accurate engineering estimates based on review of scope documents and specifications
Serves as a design leader, helping reinforce the desired culture and work environment of the department
Assists with checking other designer work when required
Consistently executes the design process per all department processes from inception to closure
Conducts flawless model reviews per department processes; audits the models and model reviews of other designers
Ability to travel to jobsites as required is a must
2-year technical degree or certificate of completion from an accredited designer/drafter course (or equivalent) is preferred.
Must have 8+ years of relevant design experience in piping design projects for petroleum pipelines including alignment sheets, pumping stations, pig launching and receiving facilities, P&ID's, Line lists
Use of CAD software to produce 2D and 3D design packages.  CADWorx, or SmartPlant 3D are preferred platforms.  AVEVA E3D 
Familiarity with PHMSA regulations, ASME B31.4, and 49 CFR parts 192 & 193 are a strong plus.

Requirements include PC literacy, a working knowledge of CAD, and a working knowledge of other computer software used to complete design assignments.
Must have experience using AutoCAD software programs including CADWorks, CAD Plant or AVEVA E3D
