Position Summary



Accountable for assisting with expense management including vendor relationships and credentialing, contract compliance, standardization and consolidation processes, and utilization analysis in the assigned specialty area. Works to link, serve, and lead departments and physicians in improving financial outcomes by refining business processes and enhancing quality as it relates specifically to supply and all aspects of receiving, inventory and distribution for their assigned Hospital and/or ambulatory site. Represents the internal customer and the organization by focusing efforts on maximizing quality, minimizing costs and integrating individual departmental goals within system supply chain objectives. Directly responsible for developing staff work schedules and tasks assignments. Directly responsible for on-board training as well as continuing training of staff as it relates to the functions of receiving, supply, replenishment, mail, equipment using established Enterprise Business Processes. In collaboration with the Director of Supply Chain Management, recruits, hires, disciplines and evaluates staff. Will assist the Supply Chain Director with the development and analysis of reports directly related to functions of logistics and operations. Works within established departmental budget. Responsible for trending supply utilization within clinical departments and modifying operations to support those trends.



Minimum Education Requirements




  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Bachelors and/or master degree Preferred



Minimum Experience Requirements




  • 1 year progressive Supply Chain Management experience or other Supervisory experience and or graduate degree

  • Microsoft Excel, Word at an Intermediate Level required

  • Lawson ERP experience is preferred



License/Certifications




  • CMRP Preferred



Position Duties (essential functions denoted with an * )




  • Set up physical inventory locations consistent with good inventory practices. *

  • Assist Director of Supply Chain with departmental productivity and other duties as assigned. *

  • Assist Director of Supply Chain with meeting or exceeding Key Performance Indicator targets. *

  • Support Supply Chain Director with identified budget initiatives. *

  • Assists the Supply Chain Director with the development and analysis of reports directly related to functions of logistics and operations. *

  • Works within established departmental budget. *

  • Identify process improvement and cost saving opportunities and communicate those to Director of Supply Chain Management and assist in implementation. *

  • Responsible for trending supply utilization within clinical departments and collaborate with Director Supply Chain Management to modify operations to support those trends. *

  • Actively round with Supply Chain Technicians and user department personnel to identify service issues and resolve in a timely manner. *

  • Responsible for appropriate staff coverage on a daily basis of direct reports. *

  • Ensure Supply Chain Technicians adhere to established Enterprise Business Processes as designed. *

  • Ensure Supply Chain Technicians adhere to established Enterprise Business Processes as designed. *

  • Councils and troubleshoots Supply Chain issues with the Supply Chain Technicians as needed. *

  • Provide outstanding customer service support to clinical and administrative departments. *

  • Assist the Supply Chain Director with the management of and interaction with Sales and Vendor representatives regarding new supplies, recalls and problems related to supply availability and vendor credentialing. *

  • Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly
