Job Description
This position provides leadership of the global, enterprise-wide, Business Continuity Management (BCM) team. The position includes leadership of the Crisis Response Team, as well as collaboration with the Disaster Recovery team to ensure end to end recovery process and procedures are in place, tested, and communicated. Other responsibilities include continuously seeking industry best practices in risk assessment, monitoring and maintaining crisis management goals as business strategies, and establishing and evolving the business continuity and disaster recovery exercises. The Vice President supports all crisis management activities enterprise-wide and is responsible for translating organizational, competitive, regulatory and legal changes into appropriate strategies for implementation of crisis and business continuity planning. The role must be able to establish cross organizational relationships and work closely with Corporate Communications, Life Safety, Technology, Real Estate, Human Resources, and Physical Security to quickly establish responses and actions to incidents.
Provide leadership on crisis management activities/programs, including communicating its importance in the business and the need to respond to issues and manage change as a result of events both inside and outside the company; provide guidance to regional coordinators and business leaders to prioritize and achieve their BCM goals and responsibilities; develop and recommend recovery strategies; facilitate and lead all crisis prevention sessions and post-follow-up.

Monitor key relationships with planning partners, business leaders, process owners, internal and external audit, and regulatory agencies. Ensure that we have cost effective and viable recovery strategies to respond to events that disrupt normal business operations.

Direct and lead Regional Coordinator and staff in the reporting and monitoring compliance with Global BCM policy and standards. Escalate gaps to the steering committee for action. Provide leadership to BCM team, including coaching, performance management, talent review, and work direction.

Benchmark industry-wide data and act as a liaison with industry-wide specialists to keep AMPF up to date on trends, best practices, issues, and concerns.

Closely partner with Disaster Recovery (DR) on program integrations and testing.

Willing to obtain Series 99 license within 90 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
10+ years' experience.

Expert knowledge of business recovery program design and implementation.

Expert knowledge of business recovery processes and procedures.

Expert ability to effectively communicate financial, strategic, qualitative considerations to all levels of the organization.

Expert ability to develop and interpret information in the context of the organization's interest required.

Experience leading an enterprise-wide business continuity team.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience and familiarity with Ameriprise policies, procedures, and infrastructure.
