Job Description:
Tennant is looking for a proactive Customer Service Representative to manage the daily workload dedicated to the Coatings business unit. In this challenging role, you will:
• Provide high phone availability for incoming customer phone calls dedicated to Coatings
• Placement and ownership of all phone/fax/email/WebLink quotes and orders (related to Coatings) into the SAP system in an accurate and efficient manner
• Proactively track product shipments and communicate shipment details to customers
• Review open order reports and take necessary steps to improve material dates
• Proactive communication with Sales, subcontractors and direct customers with all Coatings activities as assigned

• Adheres to purchase order policy


Problem Analysis and Resolution:
• Uses logic and common sense in making on the job decisions for the customer
• Uses existing guidelines/rules on process and procedures taught in new hire training
• Involves appropriate resources when resolution is unclear


Other Skills:

• Anticipates, assesses, and responds effectively to the needs of diverse customers, both internally and externally, making excellent customer service a high priority
• Works productively, plans, uses time and resources efficiently, follows through to completion
• Identifies and prioritizes problems accurately, constructively, and in a timely manner
• Interacts and communicates effectively with others across levels and departments

• Shifts and adjusts priorities in order to meet emerging needs, able to adapt his/her approach as the requirements of a situation change
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Intermediate PC and PC application skills


Required Experience:
• High School diploma or equivalent plus two years experience in a customer service environment
• Customer service experience in a business to business environment preferred.
