As our Infrastructure Architect, you will facilitate detailed reviews of the enterprise standards and sites/locations, document infrastructure capabilities, and determine infrastructure technical and security solutions in support of our continued cutting-edge manufacturing transformation. You will have the opportunity to consult with numerous business and IT groups to leverage data, technical, and business knowledge to drive the development of capability frameworks at portfolio and enterprise levels. Our Infrastructure Architect knows how to define solutions, build consensus, and facilitate alignment to solutions across business areas. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assess and analyze business strategy, business requirements, current state environment and technology choices to evaluate solution alternatives that meet business sponsor needs.
  • Define end to end technical solutions considering the enterprise architecture strategies, current state environment and constraints.
  • Analyze the viability of the solution to meet program timeline, budget and quality.
  • Acts as the lead technical authority on the program and is responsible for planning all activities leading to the development of the overall solution architecture.
  • Works across multiple functional teams (security, networking, server, storage, cloud, data center, end user services and applications) to ensure that all aspects of the solution architecture are captured, defined and communicated
  • Effectively communicates and builds rapport with team members, stakeholders and interface groups using a variety of techniques and collaboration from initiation to closure.
  • Facilitates small to large group meetings for reviewing technical architecture, planning/coordinating, decision making and problem solving
  • Analyze, define and document "order of magnitude" solution estimates (budget and resources) for annual planning purposes
  • Provides support in making recommendations for projects in the field of expertise to business unit & function leaders that advance the mission of the business unit and function
  • Analyze and estimate feasibility and compatibility of recommendations
  • Assist in post-implementation continuous improvement efforts in enhancing performance and providing increased functionality
  • Interface with business community and provide ongoing status for active projects
  • Write and maintain standards documentation
  • Write and/or review documentation written by others that describes implementation and operating procedures
  • Proactively assess new processes, technologies & platform management to meet escalating business demands
  • Provides guidance and oversight to projects. Responsible to ensure methodology, best practices, and standards are followed
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent extensive and related project experience; Master's degree is desirable
  • 10+ years progressively responsible experience in information technology, including substantial senior level technical experience in enterprise infrastructure architecture and engineering in depth experience designing and implementing solutions / services / processes
  • In-depth expertise working with Data Centers, Servers (Microsoft & Linux) Nutanix and Hyper-Converged Solutions, VMWare, Software Defined Networking, SAN Storage, Security, Middleware, Database systems, and Public and Private cloud.
  • Experience in multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments.
  • Experience with defining enterprise architecture best practices and guidelines.
  • Excellent leadership, facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills
