Primary Purpose of the Position:
- To serve as the Village of Bellevue Zoning & Code Enforcement Officer
- Communication with the Village President, Streets Superintendent, and Village Attorneys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspections and Enforcement: Responsibilities include inspecting properties for zoning compliance, responding to complaints, investigating potential violations, and issuing notices or citations.
- Administration and Record Keeping: Maintaining various records, compliance certificates, and the official zoning map, is part of the role.
- Communication and Liaison: Serve as a link to the Plan Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals. Communicate with residents, contractors, and officials regarding zoning matters and attend relevant meetings.
- Additional Responsibilities: Other duties can include working with the village attorney on zoning issues, scheduling hearings, assisting with budgets, and potentially serving as a safety officer.
