Job Description Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Assistant Branch Manager provides overall branch operational support to the Branch Manager. They will assume the responsibility of the branch when the Branch Manager is unavailable. The Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for guiding member service staff in providing quality service to members in the areas of opening new accounts, loans and other credit union products and services. They maintain a highly motivated, well-trained staff. They foster relationships to maximize and strengthen member relations. They promote a service\/sales culture within the branch so that corporate objectives set by the credit union may be achieved and\/or exceeded each year. The Assistant Branch Manager monitors key products\/sales within the branch and ensures that employees are maximizing opportunities to recommend and cross-sell appropriate product and service solutions to members. They also assist the Branch Manager with setting goals for employees as well as coaching and mentoring the member service agents\/advisors. They ensure annual compliance requirements are met and daily credit union policies and procedures are followed. The Assistant Branch Manager problem solves escalated customer service issues and is competent in overcoming obstacles, finding creative options and rendering a sound solution. They develop both, strategic and tactical plans, that focus on service, sales and strong operational performance.<\/font> Job Qualifications<\/strong><\/p> Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.<\/font><\/font><\/p> Required Minimum Qualifications:<\/strong><\/font>\u2022 High School Diploma or equivalent. <\/font>\u2022 3+ years\u2019 teller and\/or cash handling experience.<\/font>\u2022 2+ years of credit union or financial services industry experience.<\/font>\u2022 Ability to perform mathematical calculations and work accurately with numbers.<\/font>\u2022 Must possess strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to lead and work well in a team environment.<\/font>\u2022 Demonstrated leadership\/management qualities.<\/font>\u2022 Strong interpersonal and customer\/member service skills.<\/font>\u2022 Strong knowledge of branch delivery, sales & service, operations, cash handling and compliance.<\/font>\u2022 Ability to communicate with members and team in a positive, friendly, patient and professional manner.<\/font>\u2022 Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and other work-related software.<\/font>\u2022 Must possess strong technical, analytical and organizational skills.<\/font>\u2022 Must be flexible in relieving multiple branch offices.<\/font>\u2022 Must be willing to work Saturdays. <\/font>\u2022 Must be able to lift\/carry push up to 50 pounds. <\/font>\u2022 Successful candidate should possess the following competencies: Creativity and Innovation, Decision Making, Interactive Communications, Relationship Building, Results Management. <\/font>\u2022 Complies with all credit union policies and procedures including those related to Bank Secrecy Act regulations. <\/font>

<\/font>Essential Functions:<\/strong><\/font>\u2022 Responsible for opening and closing of the branch.<\/font>\u2022 Responsible for keeping branch in compliance with all credit union policies. <\/font>\u2022 Cash Forecasting\/Just-In-Time deliveries.<\/font>\u2022 Cash Shipments\/Cash Receiving and recordings. <\/font>\u2022 Order and balance negotiable instruments.<\/font>\u2022 Responsible for overrides and check approvals when necessary.<\/font>\u2022 Order and balance card stock.<\/font>\u2022 Electronical scan checks to Federal Reserve Bank for collection (Check 21).<\/font>\u2022 Research posting errors.<\/font>\u2022 Perform and enforce dual control functions. <\/font>\u2022 Perform audits according to Delta Community\u2019s policies & guidelines.<\/font>\u2022 Balance ATM and Night depository.<\/font>\u2022 Process teller duties, deposits, withdrawals, payments and balancing.<\/font>\u2022 Process Shared Branching Transactions. <\/font>\u2022 Manage and follow forecast budget for ordering branch supplies.<\/font>\u2022 Operate Cash Dispense Machines and Cash Recycling Machines. <\/font>\u2022 Create a connection and develop rapport with members\u2019 to uncover products and solutions that benefit them.<\/font>\u2022 Educate members on emerging bank technology and digital solutions such as mobile, online, and ATM to make their banking experience easier.<\/font>\u2022 Responsible for coaching and developing Tellers to identify member needs. <\/font>\u2022 Identify member needs by recommending products and services.<\/font>\u2022 Must have the ability to uncover referral opportunities and provide strong leadership skills.<\/font>\u2022 Must have the ability to resolve member\/customer service issues and escalate when necessary.<\/font>\u2022 Backup to the Hybrid Member Service Agent.<\/font>\u2022 Streamline scheduling for operational business needs.<\/font>\u2022 Develop and maintains positive relationships with members, business partners, and employees.<\/font>\u2022 Guide Member Service Agents in providing quality service to members in the areas of opening new accounts, loans and other credit union products and services.<\/font>\u2022 Identify training needs and participate in the active coaching of the team.<\/font>\u2022 Assist team members in recognizing and facilitating cross-selling opportunities.<\/font>\u2022 Monitor key products\/sales within the branch and ensure the team is maximizing opportunities.<\/font>\u2022 Ability to use sound judgment and discretion, work independently and take initiative.<\/font>\u2022 Conduct meetings and fosters open communication with staff.<\/font>\u2022 Ensure branch security procedures and policies are followed including: training staff on fraud prevention, monitoring teller differences, adherence to dual control.<\/font>\u2022 Utilize approval limits and privileges appropriately.<\/font>\u2022 Participate in the scheduling of Tellers, Member Service Agents and Member Service Agent Hybrids to ensure proper coverage.<\/font>\u2022 Ensure team is adhering to performance metrics.<\/font>\u2022 Perform Teller and Member Service Agent operational duties as needed.<\/font>\u2022 Manage member\u2019s issues and questions to an acceptable resolution.<\/font>\u2022 Must possess effective knowledge of the credit union\u2019s products and services.<\/font>\u2022 Demonstrate enthusiastic support of the credit union\u2019s corporate mission, core values, and objectives.<\/font>\u2022 Problem-solves escalated customer service issues, competent in overcoming obstacles, finding creative options and rendering a sound solution. <\/font>\u2022 Responsible for audit compliance as well as security, safety and maintenance of financial center assigned.<\/font>\u2022 Recommend product or service enhancements to improve member satisfaction and sales potential.<\/font>\u2022 Fairly and consistently evaluate employees against the Delta Community Credit Union behaviors and core competencies.<\/font>\u2022 Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.<\/font>\u2022 Must be willing to work Saturdays. <\/font>\u2022 May be subject to working in multiple branch offices.<\/font>\u2022 Applies knowledge of the credit union systems, policies, and procedures.<\/font>\u2022 Complies with all credit union policies and procedures including those related to Bank Secrecy Act regulations. <\/font>
