The Ideal Candidate<\/strong>
As a member of the Natural Resources Department, the Habitat Program manager will oversee and implement many of the annual stewardship and land management projects for the agency in partnership with the Field Operations team and one direct report.
The ideal candidate will have experience implementing wildfire resiliency projects, habitat restoration and understand ecology and wildlife habitat relationships. You will excel in collaboration, project management and working across teams and organizations. Knowledge of botanical resources, conservation grazing, fuels, fire and other ways of understanding habitats will be critical to this position\u2019s success.<\/p>

Compensation & Benefits<\/strong>
The salary range for this full-time, exempt position is $58.60 to $71.22 hourly, depending on experience and qualifications. To complement this salary, we offer a robust benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and their dependents \u2013 we cover 100% of the cost for these premiums. We participate in CalPERS retirement programs as well as offering a separate 457 Plan for tax deferred retirement savings. A basic life insurance policy is provided to all eligible employees with the option to purchase additional personal insurance benefits. The Authority supports a hybrid work place and this position may be afforded opportunities for remote work.<\/p>

The Ideal Candidate<\/strong>
The Authority is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to provide support for our community outreach program. The Authority plans and delivers engaging and informational outdoor activities, participates in community events, and hosts special events for members of our diverse community. Candidates who are organized and attentive to details, possess strong written and verbal communication skills and can build and maintain a schedule of events for delivery should apply.<\/p>
The Seasonal Outreach Aide is a key contributor to the success of our outreach program. Duties include interacting with our volunteers, community and neighbors, bringing our outreach booth to events and providing some in-office and other volunteer program support.<\/p>
Shift Details<\/strong>
This position will perform the majority of their duties on weekends and some holidays may be required. Weekly hours are estimated at 25 hours per week. As a seasonal position there is a maximum of 1,000 hours available, this position is expected to conclude in November 2025.<\/p>

The salary for this part-time, non-exempt position is $32.40 hourly. Paid sick leave is also provided in accordance with California requirements. As a seasonal position, this position is not eligible for other benefits.<\/p>
