The communication and marketing assistant works independently and as part of a team with the supervision and direction of the Senior Director of Sales and Marketing to coordinate daily sales, communication, and marketing duties. This key position is responsible for social media, digital marketing, print ads, administrative tasks, departmental projects, and timely, accurate information coordination.
1. Responsible for disseminating and coordinating sensitive information in a professional, discrete, and confidential manner. Routinely handles confidential material and ensures disclosure is restricted to approved personnel.
2. Coordinates daily administrative operations including:
3. Process budget requests and reimbursements;
4. Prioritizing tasks to meet set deadlines;
5. Distribution of mail, agenda preparation, phone coordination, and meeting minutes;
6. Database preparation updates and routine maintenance of files and records;
7. Coordinates events as assigned, e.g., meetings and related activities.
8. Provides word processing support for various materials, including legal documents, letters, reports, memos, brochures, and forms.
9. Assists in the care and maintenance of departmental equipment and manages the availability of supplies.
10. Coordinates and organizes multiple projects and prepares presentations as requested.
11. Provide backup support for co-team members.
12. Assists with ongoing projects as required.
13. Assists with special events and community events as required.
- 2 - 4 year Degree in communications, English, or marketing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft word, excel, publisher
- Adobe/Foxit-editing tools (ability to design posters, event flyers, and promotional materials for fundraisers and events
- Social media: Facebook, Instagram, twitter, website updates, light graphic design or Canva experience is a plus
- Minimum of 1 year experience or internship in digital marketing
- Must be able to adapt to shifting responsibilities as needs dictate
- A strong team player with excellent relational skills
- Demonstrated self-starter requiring minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy
