About this Role
This is a field based, front-line leadership position for 7-9 Family Access Managers. You will develop, coach, guide, manage and lead this patient-facing team within the commercial neuromuscular business to help patients start and stay on therapy. Under your leadership, the team will continue building strong relationships with staff and physicians at treating sites of care. The team will also be focused on patients who are in the maintenance phase of treatment by engaging and educating to maximize the patient experience. You will support the team to have a strong presence with patient advocacy groups in the rare disease community. The Family Access Lead will succeed in a close partnership with other field leaders such as the Rare Disease Regional Sales Lead and contributing matrix partners to build and execute regional strategies and tactics.
What You'll Do:
- Collaborate with matrix partners to develop/execute regional and local strategic plans
- Support the build and execution of individual development plans
- Provide regular coaching and quarterly feedback against annual goals
- Lead cross-functional work to generate innovative solutions to patient access barriers (insurance, logistics), improving site of care efficiencies/effectiveness & internal team excellence
- Lead team to support the use of patient driven initiatives, tools and resources
- Work in conjunction with colleagues and leadership to evolve capabilities and long-term strategies

Required Skills
- 7+ years of relevant sales/marketing/reimbursement industry experience
- 3+ years of leading a team in the biotech/pharma/medical device industry
- Proven examples of leadership impact to culture, people development & execution success against business goals
- High level of emotional intelligence and self-awareness. Ability to coach team members in highly matrixed and challenging/changing environment.
- Proven ability to identify process or other issues and challenge the status quo for resolution while maintaining a high degree of compliance
- Leader in collaboration, innovation and successful track record in a competitive environment
- Driving is an essential duty of the job; candidates must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record according to Biogen policy to be considered
- Ability to travel up to 60% weekly
Additional Information
Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
Regular employees are eligible to receive both short term and long-term incentives, including cash bonus and equity incentive opportunities, designed to reward recent achievements and recognize your future potential based on individual, business unit and company performance.
