Job Description
- Maintains the VCIN Units organized file system for all VCIN/NCIC entries. Enters information, property and people into the Virginia Criminal Information Network (VCIN).
- Conducts problem resolution regarding VCIN issues/problems. Works with Courts in regards to service and/or entry of protective orders.
- Cross-checks and validations on departmental VCIN entries. Accurately records, notifies, corrects and advises on all VCIN related problems discovered.
- Performs routine office tasks, such as typing, filing, faxing, telephoning, scanning records and copying. Must have the ability to work alone.
- Monitors and operates a portable radio to communicate with officers and sheriff's deputies in the completion of wanted persons/item confirmation along with entries of same, printing of criminal history and driver transcript information and transmits relevant information to field units. Operator will follow Federal Communications Commission's laws and department requirements.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
