Job Description:

Apex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE IT Field Technician to support the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware across multiple client locations in the Triad area.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software at multiple sites.
  • Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics for hardware issues, including connectivity, performance, and user access problems.
  • Collaborate with IT support teams to resolve technical issues and ensure system reliability.
  • Provide on-site technical support and training to client staff regarding hardware and software.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Document service activities, repairs, and maintenance procedures in a clear and organized manner.
  • Respond to service requests and incidents in a timely manner, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and impact.

Experience:

  • 1+ year experience with installing/troubleshooting Thin Clients such as: Wyse Terminals, Chromebooks, Citrix Receivers, etc
  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent work experience - COMPTIA
  • 2+ years of experience in a technical support role

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with hardware deployment and related technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, hardware diagnostics, and software troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between multiple locations.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and maneuver within the client’s environments for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting and carrying equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, crouching, and reaching to access and install hardware.
  • Ability to navigate stairs and confined spaces as needed.
