Serves as a varsity Sports Performance Specialist.
WHAT YOU WILL DO<\/b><\/p>
<\/p>
Applies specific protocols for sport team program design to insure that respective sports\u2019 programs are consistent across the Department of Athletics and Recreation.<\/p>
<\/p>
Assists Head Coach in developing and implementing a comprehensive strength and conditioning program for all varsity sports.<\/p>
<\/p>
Maintains relationship with regional and national athletic associations related to sports performance.<\/p>
<\/p>
Communicates with and advises head coaches about strength and conditioning, pre and post-game, and pre and post practice activities for student-athletes.<\/p>
<\/p>
Works directly with Sports Medicine department to provide advice and assistance in the prevention of athletic injuries. Assists in the rehabilitation of injured athletes in conjunction with the Sports Medicine department.<\/p>

Provides on-site direct instruction and motivation for student-athletes, as well as assessment and feedback in order to insure proper execution of training techniques.<\/p>

LEGAL REQUIREMENTS<\/b><\/p>
The Police Office of Public Safety must obtain and retain authority as a special state police officer in accordance with Massachusetts General Law c. 22c sec. 63. This position must meet the educational and training academy requirements in order to be certified as a Special State Police Officer as well as POST certification MGL 555 CMR 1.0 This position must meet all the requirements of becoming a Special Police Officer in the Town of Wellesley and Needham. Retention of valid Massachusetts Motor Vehicle Operator\u2019s License, Massachusetts Firearm License to Carry Class A is required. <\/p>
This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA) under the Clery Act, which is an individual to which students and employees should report criminal offenses or who has significant responsibility for student and campus activities. A CSA shall report all allegations of Clery Act crimes they receive to the Public Safety Department, so they may be investigated and published in the College\u2019s Annual Security and Fire Report. <\/p>
<\/p>
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS<\/u><\/b> <\/p>
Appointees to the Police Sergeant of Public Safety position must successfully complete a one-year probationary period. Permanent and continuing appointment is contingent upon successful completion of such training programs as designated by the Chief of Police or their designee. <\/p>

- 2 years of professional theatrical production experience in the arts and entertainment industry.<\/li>
- Demonstrated understanding and proficiency of current theatrical production standards and their safe execution.<\/li>
- Comfortable working with various genres in the performing arts: theater, music, dance, film, mixed media, talking head presentations on the arts, readings, etc.<\/li>

Schedule and Working Conditions:<\/u><\/b><\/p>
- Events occur at various times throughout the year including daytime, evenings and weekends. BabsonARTS maintains a pool of employees to cover events, which will be scheduled on a monthly basis based on availability. There is no minimum number of shifts per month and work can complement other part-time or full-time work well.<\/li>

- Supports student preparation for the internship\/job search by critiquing resumes, providing LinkedIn guidance, and conducting mock interviews; develops effective educational programs and tools for domestic and international career searches.<\/li>
- Works with CCD team to design and deliver workshops (virtual and in person), experiences, and other programs that focus on relevant career topics, including industry and function-specific issues. This includes working closely with student clubs to improve their effectiveness in educating students about specific career paths; co-developing programs as necessary; and engaging with communities of interest related to assigned areas of focus (including faculty).<\/li>
- Partners with industry representatives, including recruiters and alumni, to deliver connections for students to real time career advice and opportunities.<\/li>
- Collaborates with the recruiting team to stay current on industry and employer trends; monitors employer and student satisfaction and implements improvements as necessary; and researches key industry trends and opportunities affecting undergraduate hiring and shares that information across constituencies.<\/li>
- Represents Babson College at external functions related to student needs, alumni, business, and professional development; represents CCD on various committees, and serves as liaison to specific departments. Shares Babson best practices with external community through presentations, publishing, and event attendance.<\/li>
- Contributes to the marketing of the Center for Career Development to increase the visibility and brand of the office and to inform the College community about career initiatives. Authors and edits department publications and electronic correspondence to internal audiences.<\/li>

- Supervises overnight custodial and utility staff to execute daily schedules and tasks. Assists with monitoring of contracted work. Assists with various personnel actions as appropriate for the Building Services unit including annual performance evaluations, corrective discipline cases, personnel actions, skills development, counseling, and training.<\/li>
- Supports development and implementation of staffing plans to meet annual campus milestones, including school opening, winter break, spring break, commencement, and summer programs turn over.<\/li>
- Monitors work orders in the Colleges CMMS System, TMA, and maintains daily communications with service response desk for prioritization of workload.<\/li>
