




Our agency client is looking for a Resource Manager to support their team, ideally in a hybrid capacity in their NY office, Monday-Thursday onsite, for one month, with possibility to extend. The Resource Manager will play a pivotal role in balancing studio operations by managing the allocation of staff and freelance artists across multiple creative projects. This individual will ensure optimal use of resources, maintain manageable workloads, and support seamless project execution through proactive scheduling and communication.
Location Note: This is a hybrid role based in the New York office (Hudson Street) ideally working in-office Monday through Thursday but there could potentially be flexibility there.
Resource Manager Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily resource meetings to align priorities, allocate talent, and resolve scheduling issues in real time.
- Forecast resourcing needs based on project pipelines and collaborate with team leads to fill gaps efficiently.
- Monitor staff workloads to ensure balanced distribution of billable hours and prevent burnout.
- Maintain and update scheduling tools with real-time availability, rates, remote work status, and production timelines.
- Build and manage a robust network of freelance talent, including outreach, vetting, and performance tracking.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for freelance hires, managing onboarding, scheduling, and integration into workflows.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure freelancers receive timely access to credentials, documentation, and systems.
- Collaborate with international studios to manage North American artist availability and ensure accurate time tracking.
- Provide strategic recommendations for resource assignments based on team capabilities and project needs.
Resource Manager Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in resource management, scheduling, or production coordination within creative industries.
- Proven ability to manage and allocate resources across multiple concurrent projects with varying scopes and deadlines.
- Strong track record of building and maintaining freelance talent networks.
- Proficiency in scheduling tools and databases for tracking availability, budgets, and timelines.
- Experience with project management systems; Adobe Workfront preferred.
- Advanced skills in Office 365 applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills for resolving scheduling conflicts and addressing resource gaps.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with producers, artists, and cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of creative workflows and roles such as editors, animators, motion designers, and audio engineers.
