



The Homeownership Program Specialist supports mortgage-ready clients in purchasing Habitat-Developed homes. Using a client-centered approach, this role guides clients through the homebuying process, ensuring program delivery is efficient, effective, and equitably aligned with the organization’s goal of advancing racial equity and closing the homeownership gap.

Required Qualifications
Education, credentials, and experience:
- 4 years of applicable and relevant work experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

backgrounds. - Client Focus: Builds strong client relationships, concentrating on how every interaction helps the client.
- Program Management: Implements, participates in and evaluates the results of programs, projects, cases or processes, and manages related resources, personnel and activities to successful completion.
- Knowledge Management and Sharing: Uses formal, informal, and systematic methods to impart information to others that increases organizational effectiveness.
- Collaboration: Works effectively with others, inside and outside the organization, to achieve shared goals.
Preferred Qualifications
Education, credentials, and experience:
- Post-secondary education in a related field.
- Experience in homebuyer education and counseling.
- At least 1 year in the nonprofit sector, preferably serving low- to moderate-income communities, communities of color, or in affordable housing.
- 1–2 years in adult education or similar.
- Experience with federal housing programs and program compliance requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
- Bi-lingual or fluent in Somali, Arabic, Amharic, Hmong, or other languages.
