



Marketing Specialist (Global Patient Activation)
Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic and self-driven Marketing Manager to lead global patient activation efforts. This role will focus on developing and executing marketing campaigns aimed at increasing awareness and screening for autoimmune Type 1 Diabetes. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in market research, content creation, and external agency collaboration, with a strong preference for backgrounds in healthcare or pharmaceuticals.
This position offers the opportunity to shape a public health movement across five key markets in Europe and the U.S., working closely with cross-functional teams and external advertising partners. The manager travels frequently, so the ability to work independently and proactively is essential.
This is a 12-month, 40 hour per week contract requiring a hybrid 2-day onsite schedule in Cambridge, MA.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns to drive awareness and screening for autoimmune Type 1 Diabetes.
- Conduct market research and analyze data to inform strategy and content development.
- Provide strategic guidance across five priority markets in Europe and the U.S.
- Collaborate with external advertising agencies and internal cross-functional partners.
- Build and manage strategic partnerships with relevant industry stakeholders.
- Define and track KPIs to measure campaign effectiveness and screening activation.
- Support the development of business cases for investment in screening initiatives.
- Contribute to shaping public perception and education around autoimmune Type 1 Diabetes screening.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience working with external advertising partners
- 3+ years of experience conducting market research and analyzing market data
- 3+ years of experience developing marketing campaigns and creating content tied to a product or service
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Bonus/Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Creative thinker with a passion for driving impact.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and Canva.
- Multilingual capabilities are a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including medical data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment. Additionally, drug products may be present in the workplace.
