About Us: Sun is a fully integrated real estate investment trust (REIT). As a premiere owner and operator, we specialize in acquiring, operating, developing, and expanding manufactured housing and outdoor vacation properties. Established in 1975, Sun became a publicly owned corporation in December 1993.

Our original and largest brand by far, Sun Communities is the premiere owner and operator of manufactured housing communities in the United States. Sun's growth within the hospitality industry led to the creation of Sun Outdoors, a collection of resorts dedicated to helping guests find their Sunnier Side. They exude a relaxed staycation vibe in amazing places throughout the United States and Canada that encourage connecting with nature while providing elevated experiences.
