Overview

Wellness Center Supervisors lead their teams in delivering a positive guest experience by maintaining high customer service standards. They oversee daily operations, support and coach team members, and manage guest interactions, including escalations. This role monitors phone and front desk activity, verifies membership status, processes and audits transactions, and ensures accurate and consistent communication of general information.

Job Duties

  • Completes end-of-month deposit reconciliation, ensuring all balances are collected, addressing failed or declined transactions, and resolving discrepancies through follow-up. (Essential)
  • Oversees the maintenance, functionality, and cleanliness of Wellness Center equipment, coordinating repairs and preventative maintenance as needed. (Essential)
  • Provides daily leadership and supervision to Wellness Center staff, including training, coaching, and performance guidance. (Essential)
  • Develops and coordinates wellness programs, classes, and events to enhance resident engagement. (Essential)
  • Coordinates team member selection and development and ensures team members comply with appropriate policies and procedures.
  • Maintains and monitors Wellness Center inventory, including beverage supplies, and coordinates timely replenishment to ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Develops and oversees team member scheduling, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and maintaining appropriate staffing coverage.
  • Reviews, verifies, and submits personal trainer invoices to the Accounting Department, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Identifies and reports wellness center maintenance needs, coordinates with vendors as needed, and follows up to ensure timely resolution.
  • Ensures a high standard of customer service and maintains a welcoming environment for all residents and guests.
  • Ensures adherence to community policies, safety procedures, and Wellness Center guidelines.
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for Wellness Center operations, resolving issues and escalating concerns as needed.
  • Collaborates with personal trainers and instructors to coordinate schedules and promote offerings.
  • Monitors participation and adjusts offerings based on resident feedback.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • 1 year in experience in customer service or sales (Required)
  • 6 months in experience working in a fitness center or similar environment (Preferred)
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet
  • Strong customer service skills
